What is permanent culture, you might ask? Simply put - a human culture that is designed to last for centuries, and even millennia. If we observe Indigenous cultures that have thrived for centuries, we discover commonalities:
1) Living in harmony with the natural world and Mama Earth 🌍🐝🦆
2) Working together and nurturing loving communities 🫱🏼🫲🏼💞
3) Prioritizing cultural expression, such as dance, music, and art 💃🏼🎶🎭
At this year’s festival - we cultivate all three of these societal building blocks. We aim to:
-Be nice, be safe, and have fun.
-Leave the land better than when we arrived.
-Nurture family-friendly, educational, and playful activities.
-Inspire exuberant self-expression and creativity.
The lineup of events and activities for this festival include permaculture education, a planting party, kid's camp throughout the weekend, yoga, plant walk, ecstatic dance, song circle, cacao ceremony, sound bath, nature-based educational games, a kid's talent show and much more!
Please honor the family friendly atmosphere by keeping this a sober event! =)
Gates open at 9:30am 9/14/24 and the event will start at 12:00pm 9/14/24.
We can't wait to see you there!
Owner of Ozark Mountain Nibbly Organic Mushrooms.
My name is Ashley! I am a mushroom enthusiast and a steward of the land. I am passionate about creating spaces where beings can flourish. Co-Owner of Family Permaculture.
Hello! I am a permaculture educator, designer, and homeschooler located in North Texas. Learning as we did when we were children should not change just because we grew up, at least that is how I plant the seeds of education. Making connections with families the world around me fulfills me. Passions also include camping with my grands and solo hiking.
Alex is a permaculture designer, installer, event planner, and Soulpreneuer. Alex envisions a world where future generations grow up singing, dancing, and playing while eating fresh fruits straight from the tree. Alex cultivates this world by hosting plant and dance events called PermaCulture Parties!

Movement is medicine to my soul. As a mother of four that leads a very active life, I have found this particular practice of Qoya to be transformative. It began as a weekly practice for over a year until I dove head first into the healing powers that came from taking time to move my body in these specific ways.
I'm a Retreat Host and Holistic Health Care Provider. I've been learning, practicing and teaching meditation, yoga and holistic health care for 50 years.

The 4th annual OMNOM Fall Festival - a Celebration of Permanent Culture!
When:
Check-In / Gates Open: 9:30am, Saturday, September 14th
Start Time: 12pm, Saturday, September 14th
End Time: 2pm, Sunday, September 15th
Why:
Our festival hosts are deeply passionate about cultivating a better world. As permaculturists, we cultivate this world by designing human culture in a way that is built to last for generations to come. Our festival embodies the three ethics of permaculture: Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.
This festival aims to create a safe, joyous, family-friendly and educational environment. Our activities are intended to cultivate inner peace and balance while bringing communities closer to each other and to all of Life.
We also aspire to be unique to other festivals by improving the land we dance and play upon. On Saturday, we will have a PermaCulture Party! This event will combine play and fun with educational action as we plant a shade-tolerant, edible, food forest. This food forest will provide a bountiful yield for decades to come and we can pick the fruit at future festivals.
This festival is also a fundraiser for two local causes; empowering food insecure families through the Meal Token Program at Harold's Diner and supporting a beloved community member and OMNOM employee, along with his wife, as he undergoes cancer treatment.
